Brian Azzarello

Brian Azzarello (born 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American comic-book writer. He made his debut in the late 1990s with the noir miniseries “Jonny Double,” created with Eduardo Risso. The two subsequently developed the acclaimed crime series “100 Bullets,” for which they won the 2001 Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series. Azzarello’s other work includes “Loveless,” “Moonshine,” “Hellblazer,” “Batman: Broken City,” “Joker,” “Wonder Woman,” and the “Before Watchmen” prequels “Comedian” and “Rorschach.” With Frank Miller, he also co-wrote “Batman: The Dark Knight III” and “Batman: The Last Crusade.”
