Birgit Schmitz

Birgit Schmitz studied theatre, film and television studies in Cologne and Berlin. She then worked for several years as a dramaturg, including at Vienna’s Burgtheater and Hamburg’s Thalia Theater. She later worked as a literary translator, editor and copywriter. From 1999 onward, she translated English-language literature into German.
