Birgit Rieger

Birgit Rieger was born in Hamburg and studied graphic design and visual communication at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. After graduating, she worked as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator, illustrating numerous books for children and young adults. She is particularly known for her illustrations for the “Hexe Lilli” series, which she has helped shape since 1992. She has also created illustrations and cartoons for nonfiction and educational books.
