Birgit Recki

Birgit Recki was born in Spellen in 1954. She is a philosopher who served as a professor of philosophy at the University of Hamburg. Her areas of focus include ethics, aesthetics, cultural philosophy, and philosophical anthropology, particularly the eighteenth century and modernity. At the University of Hamburg, she headed the Ernst Cassirer research center and edited Cassirer’s collected works.
