Birgit Lang

Birgit Lang is a social scientist, youth and residential care educator, and consultant specializing in psychotraumatology. She has extensive practical experience in child and youth welfare and has worked in various roles, including as a research associate, mediator, and trauma-informed practice consultant. From 2002 onward, she worked at Berlin’s juvenile detention facility, where she led a school and the “ZwischenWelten” project in cooperation with Gangway e. V. She also contributed to the development and support of a trauma-informed residential group for girls and boys and worked on evaluation projects at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of Ulm University Hospitals.
