Bettina Flitner

Bettina Flitner (born 1961 in Cologne) is a photographer and filmmaker. After training at WDR, she studied at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin; her first films received numerous awards. From the late 1980s onward, photography became the main focus of her work. She frequently combined photography and text, and her work was shown in numerous gallery and museum exhibitions. Flitner published numerous books, including “Meine algerische Familie,” “Frauen mit Visionen: 48 Europäerinnen,” and “Reisen in Burma,” co-authored with Alice Schwarzer, as well as “Meine Mutter.”
