Berthold Vogel

Berthold Vogel, born in 1963, is a sociologist and professor. He served as Managing Director of the Sociological Research Institute Göttingen (SOFI) at the University of Göttingen and taught at the universities of Göttingen, Kassel and St. Gallen. He also served as spokesperson for the Göttingen site of the Research Institute Social Cohesion. His research has focused on social inequality, changes and transformations in the world of work, public goods, the welfare state, and social cohesion and public services.
