Bernhard Hachleitner

Born in Ebensee in 1968, Bernhard Hachleitner studied history and German literature at the University of Vienna. He worked as a historian and curator and contributed to projects for institutions including the Vienna City Library, the Wien Museum, the House of Austrian History, the University of Vienna and the University of Applied Arts Vienna. His publications and exhibitions address popular culture as well as urban and contemporary history, including the history of sport in Austria. His edited volumes include *The Destruction of Democracy and February 1934* (2023, with Alfred Pfoser, Katharina Prager and Werner Michael Schwarz) and *The Poster in the City* (2023, with Julia König).
