Bernhard Dressler (born 1947) is a German theologian and religious educator. From 1991 to 2003, he worked at the Religious Education Institute in Loccum, first as a lecturer and later as its director. From 2003 to 2013, he was Professor of Practical Theology, specializing in religious education, at Philipps-Universität Marburg. Before that, he taught religious studies and politics. His research and teaching focused on educational theory, professional theory, and the didactics of religious teaching and learning. His publications include “Religionsunterricht. Bildungstheoretische Grundlegungen” (2018) and “Religion verstehen. Beiträge zur Religionshermeneutik und zu religiöser Bildung” (2020).
