Benjamin Black

Benjamin Black is the pseudonym of Irish writer John Banville (born 1945), under which he published crime novels. Banville’s literary work has received several awards, including the Man Booker Prize for The Sea, the Franz Kafka Prize and, in 2013, the Austrian State Prize for European Literature.
