Ben Moore

Ben Moore (born 1966) is a British astrophysicist. His career has included a professorship in astrophysics at the University of Zurich, with research focusing, among other subjects, on the formation of cosmic structures, dark matter and dark energy. As a nonfiction author, he published such books as “Elefanten im All” (2012), “Da draußen” (2014) and “Mond: Eine Biografie” (2019). He co-wrote “Gibt es auf der dunklen Seite vom Mond Aliens?” (2017) with Katharina Blansjaar. Under the stage name “Professor Moore,” he combined sounds from the guitar and the universe with electronic music; in 2010, he and students developed a Big Bang-themed float for Zurich’s Street Parade.
