Beatrix Langner

Beatrix Langner, born in Berlin in 1950, holds a doctorate in German studies and worked as a literary scholar, author, and critic. She wrote literary biographies, essays, radio plays, feuilletons, radio features, and cultural reports, contributing among others to DeutschlandRadio Berlin, Deutschlandfunk, the Süddeutsche Zeitung, and the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. Her biography of Jean Paul was published by C. H. Beck and received the Gleim Literature Prize in 2013. Langner was a member of the PEN Centre Germany.
