Beate Speck-Kafkoulas primarily illustrated children’s and young adult books and also wrote stories of her own. Her original illustrations were exhibited in numerous cities, including at Neuschwanstein Castle. In 2003, she received the “Power of Pictures” International Illustration Prize in Tallinn.
