Bea Davies

Bea Davies, born in Italy in 1990, studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York and at Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin. She worked as a freelance illustrator and comic artist for magazines and book publishers. Her publications include the graphic novel “Der König der Vagabunden,” the autobiographical comic collection “A Child’s Journey,” and the illustrated children’s books “Brummps! – Sie nannten ihn Ameise” (text by Dita Zipfel) and “Himmelwärts” (text by Karen Köhler). In 2016, she received the Comic Invasion Berlin Advancement Award and the Mart Stam Scholarship; in 2018, she was admitted to the German National Academic Foundation. In 2025, she and Karen Köhler received the German Youth Literature Prize for “Himmelwärts.”
