Barbara Trapido

Barbara Trapido was born in South Africa in 1941. After studying, she moved to London and initially worked as a teacher before devoting herself entirely to writing from 1970 onward. Her debut novel, “Brother of the More Famous Jack,” won the Whitbread Prize in 1982, and several of her later works were nominated for the award.
