Barbara Beck

Barbara Beck studied history, art history and folklore in Augsburg and Munich. After several years working in the field of cultural history exhibitions, including for the House of Bavarian History and the Bavarian State Administration of Palaces, she worked as a freelance historian and nonfiction author. She published numerous books and essays on historical, cultural-historical and art-historical subjects. Her works include “The Most Famous Women in World History,” “The Great Female Rulers and Regents,” “The Habsburgs,” “The Wittelsbachs,” and the biography “Lucas Cranach the Younger: Painter – Entrepreneur – Politician.”
