Bandi

Bandi (born 1950) is a North Korean writer who was a member of the Central Committee of the Chosun Writers’ Association. After witnessing the famine and crisis in North Korea known as the “Arduous March,” he became an opponent of the regime. His writing depicts the suffering and everyday lives of ordinary North Koreans.
