Ayuko Tanaka

Ayuko Tanaka, born in 1972, is a visual artist, book designer, author and illustrator. She studied economics at Fukushima University and earned an MA in Graphic Design Communication from Chelsea College of Arts at the University of the Arts London. In 2000, she received an award in the illustration competition of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Tanaka published more than twelve children’s books featuring her own stories and illustrations, and created illustrations for book covers and magazines, primarily in Japan.
