Anuk Arudpragasam

Anuk Arudpragasam (born 1988) is a Sri Lankan author and translator who wrote in Tamil and English. He grew up in Colombo and received a PhD in philosophy from Columbia University in 2019. His debut novel, *The Story of a Brief Marriage*, received the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature and was shortlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize. His second novel, *To the North*, was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 2021.
