Antje Warthorst

Dr. Antje M. Warthorst studied art history and archaeology, including at the Sorbonne in Paris, specializing in Early Renaissance painting. While working at the National Museums in Berlin, she became aware of the largely forgotten artist Walter Trier in 1997. She subsequently devoted herself to researching and promoting his work. In 2007, she founded the Walter Trier Archive, which focuses on Trier’s oeuvre, critical graphic art, and grotesque realism.
