Antje M. Warthorst

Dr. Antje M. Warthorst is an art historian and archaeologist. She studied, among other institutions, at the Sorbonne in Paris, specializing in Early Renaissance painting. While working at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, she drew attention in 1997 to the then largely forgotten artist Walter Trier. In 2007, she founded the Walter Trier Archive, dedicated to researching Trier’s work as well as critical graphic art and “Grotesque Realism.”
