Anne von der Heiden

Anne von der Heiden (Prof. Dr. phil.) is a scholar of art and cultural studies. Her academic career includes a professorship in art history and art theory at the University of Art and Industrial Design Linz, where she headed the Department of Art History and Art Theory. She previously taught and conducted research, among other institutions, at Hochschule München, the Center for Art and Media and the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design, the Academy of Media Arts Cologne, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, and the universities of Basel and Zurich. Her research has addressed image, media and cultural theory, media aesthetics, contemporary art, and visual culture.
