Ann Patchett

Ann Patchett, born in Los Angeles in 1963, is a writer and critic. Her work includes novels, short stories, essays and nonfiction. Her novel Bel Canto received the PEN/Faulkner Award and the Orange Prize and was translated into around thirty languages. In 2012, Time magazine named Patchett one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
