Anja Melzer

Anja Melzer (born 1989) is a journalist and court reporter. She worked for Austrian and German daily and weekly newspapers and served as managing editor on duty at the magazine Arbeit&Wirtschaft. In 2017, she was named one of the “30 Under 30”; in 2018, she received an award from the Austrian Journalism Days for “Story of the Year.” Her work follows the tradition of Viennese social reportage. Melzer studied criminology, art history and journalism; she did not complete her criminology degree. From winter 2020 onward, she also appeared as a commentator and court reporter on the RTL program “Anwälte der Toten.”
