Angelika Walser

Angelika Walser, born in Stuttgart in 1968, studied Catholic theology and German studies in Würzburg and Munich. She initially worked as a religious education teacher, in journalism, adult education and at the Vienna Theological Courses. In 1998 she received her doctorate with a thesis on guilt and coming to terms with guilt in Wendish literature; in 2013 she completed her habilitation with a study on women’s autonomy in bioethical conflicts. From 2013 to 2015, she taught at the University College of Teacher Education Vienna/Krems, and subsequently became professor of moral theology and spiritual theology at the University of Salzburg. Her research includes bioethics, relational ethics, feminist theology and gender studies. Her books include “Ein Kind um jeden Preis?” (2014) and “In deiner Nähe geht es mir gut” (2017).
