Angelica Freitas

Angélica Freitas (born 1973 in Pelotas, Brazil) is a Brazilian poet. Her first poetry collection, “Rilke Shake,” was published in 2007 and appeared in German translation in 2011. Further works include “Um útero é do tamanho de um punho” (2012) and the graphic novel “Guadalupe” (2012), created with illustrator Odyr Bernardi. In 2020/21, Freitas was a fellow of the DAAD Artists-in-Residence Programme.
