Anette Strohmeyer was born in Göttingen in 1975. After studying geology and paleontology and training as a goldsmith, she began her writing career in 2001. The first volume of her mystery-thriller series Ondragon was published in 2012, followed by two further volumes. Strohmeyer has written novels, crime fiction and radio plays. Under the pen name Anne Nørdby, she published two thriller series set in Scandinavia with Gmeiner Verlag.
