Anette Schlimm (born 1980) is a historian of contemporary history. She worked as an academic senior councillor at the Chair of Contemporary History at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and researched rural spaces from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century, the radical right, and the history of knowledge in the modern era. Her habilitation thesis, “Übergangsgesellschaften regieren. Drei Dörfer und die Moderne,” received the Habilitation Prize of the Münchner Universitätsgesellschaft in 2020. Her publications include the edited volume “Regieren in der Region” (Westfälische Forschungen 72, 2022).
