Andrew O’Hagan, born in Glasgow in 1968, is a Scottish writer. His debut novel was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize, and O’Hagan was nominated for the Booker Prize several times. In 2003, Granta named him one of the best young British novelists. He also received the E. M. Forster Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. In addition to novels, O’Hagan has published essays and reportage in outlets including Granta, The Guardian and The New Yorker.
