Andreas Lukas grew up in Saarland and studied business administration. He earned a doctorate in political science at Saarland University. He subsequently held various positions in publishing and the media, including as an editor, publisher and author. He wrote novels, poetry and journalistic pieces and was a member of Gruppe 48. In 2022, he received the Audience Award at the Hildesheim Literature Competition; in 2019, he ranked fifth in the Planet Awards’ Author of the Year category. His novels include “Die ungleichen Gleichen” (2018) and “WELTEN-GEWITTER” (2022). His novel “Die ungleichen Gleichen” led to a meeting with musician Aeham Ahmad, which resulted in their joint book “TAXI DAMASKUS – Geschichten, Begegnungen, Hoffnungen” (2021).
