Andrea Schwendemann, born in 1971 in Germany’s Black Forest, is an author and journalist. She worked as an editor-in-chief for publications including NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC WORLD and GEOlino extra, and wrote reports and interviews for magazines, newspapers, and online media. In 2012, she founded her own office for magazine and book development, where she developed media and nonfiction books for children and adults. She has also published numerous children’s nonfiction books, including titles issued by Ravensburger and Sauerländer.
