Andrea Fazioli, born in Bellinzona in 1978, is a Swiss author. He studied Romance languages and literature, including Italian and French, in Milan and Zurich. Alongside his work as a writer, he worked as a journalist, presenter, screenwriter and Italian teacher. He became known chiefly for his crime novels set in Ticino and featuring the private detective Elia Contini, including “Il giudice e la rondine,” “L’arte del fallimento” and “Gli Svizzeri muoiono felici.” His books have been translated into several languages and have received multiple awards. Fazioli plays the saxophone.
