Alice Pechriggl

Alice Pechriggl is a philosopher and group psychoanalyst. She studied philosophy, political science and ancient history in Vienna, Florence and Paris. In 2003, she was appointed professor of philosophy at the University of Klagenfurt; she had previously held guest professorships in Paris. From 1988 to 1997, she studied under Cornelius Castoriadis at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. Her work has addressed the political imaginary as well as bodily and gender imaginaries. Her publications include “Corps transfigurés. Stratifications de l’imaginaire des sexes/genres” (2000).
