Alexandra Tacke

Alexandra Tacke is a literary and cultural scholar. She studied modern German literature, philosophy and Italian philology in Munich, Berlin and Chicago. From 2005 to 2012, she was a research associate at the Institute of German Literature at Humboldt University of Berlin. In 2010, she received her doctorate there for a cultural-studies dissertation on the artist Rebecca Horn. The study was published in 2011 as “Rebecca Horn. Künstlerische Selbstpositionierungen im kulturellen Raum” and was awarded summa cum laude. Tacke taught at the universities of Bremen and Vechta and was a guest professor for several years at Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, Poland. From 2017 to 2018, she worked at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), where she established and headed the Chiellino Research Centre for Literature and Migration.
