Alexandra Popp

Alexandra Popp (born 1991) is a German footballer. She served as captain of the German national team and won seven German league titles, three UEFA Women’s Champions League titles and twelve DFB-Pokal trophies with her teams. She also became an Olympic champion and a European Championship runner-up. In 2022, the German Football Association named her “National Player of the Year,” while Kicker named her “Personality of the Year.” In 2024, Popp announced her retirement from the national team. At club level, she has been closely associated with VfL Wolfsburg.
