Alexandra Fischer-Hunold

Alexandra Fischer-Hunold was born in 1966. After completing a banking apprenticeship, she studied German and English literature in Aachen. She then worked as an editor at a travel-guide publisher before beginning to write children’s and young adult books and read-aloud stories. She has published more than fifty books, which have been translated into numerous languages. In 2017, she received the Hansjörg Martin Prize for the best children’s and young adult crime novel for “Lord Gordon – Ein Mops in königlicher Mission.” According to her biographies, her love of books began with reading “Mary Poppins.”
