Alexander Gumz

Alexander Gumz (born 1974 in Berlin) is a German poet, editor and literary event organiser. He studied German literature and philosophy and worked for KOOK e. V. and the poesiefestival berlin. He also co-founded the literary night HAM.LIT, the poetry night Teil der Bewegung and the Wortgarten literature festival. His first poetry collection, “ausrücken mit modellen,” was published in 2011, followed by “45sec” (2013), “verschwörungscartoons” (2015) and “barbaren erwarten” (2018), among others. His poetry has received the Wiener Werkstattpreis (2002) and the Clemens Brentano Prize of the city of Heidelberg (2012). Selected poems have been translated into several languages.
