Alexander Betts is a scholar and author specializing in forced migration and international affairs. He holds a professorship in Forced Migration and International Affairs at the University of Oxford, where he also headed the Refugee Studies Centre. He previously worked for the United Nations Refugee Agency and advised international organizations and governments. Betts founded the Humanitarian Innovation Project and was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. He is the author of several books on forced migration and migration.
