Albert Biesinger

Albert Biesinger (born 1948) is a Catholic theologian and educator. After studying Catholic theology and education, he received his doctorate in 1977 and completed his habilitation in 1982. From 1991 to 2014, he taught religious education at the University of Tübingen, where he served as professor of religious education and adult education in the church and as director of the Catholic Institute for Vocationally Oriented Religious Education. He later became professor emeritus. Biesinger also worked as a permanent deacon and emergency chaplain. He published numerous books on religious education, including religious upbringing in families and preparation for First Communion.
