Alan Murrin

Alan Murrin is an Irish writer who completed a master’s degree in creative writing at the University of East Anglia. In 2021, his short story “The Wake” won the Bournemouth Writing Award and was also shortlisted for the Irish Book Awards’ Short Story of the Year. Murrin has written as a cultural critic for publications including The Irish Times, the TLS and The Spectator. His debut novel, “Coast Road”, received the Newcomer of the Year award at the 2024 Irish Book Awards.
