Alan Davis is a British comic artist and writer. He became known for his work on Captain Britain and Miracleman, created alongside Alan Moore. In 1985, he began working for DC Comics, where he drew, among other projects, Batman stories. Davis later moved to Marvel and collaborated with Chris Claremont on several series in the X-Men universe, including Excalibur. One of his notable later works for DC is JLA: The Nail.
