Aka Mortschiladse

Aka Mortschiladse, born in 1966 in Tbilisi, is a Georgian writer. He made his literary debut in 1992 with the novel Die Reise nach Karabach, which became a bestseller and was later adapted into a film. His novels have received major literary awards in Georgia. Works published in German include Santa Esperanza (2017), Schatten auf dem Weg (2018), Obolé (2018), and Von alten Herzen und Schwertern (2020).
