Adelheid Rasche is a PhD-trained art historian and Romance scholar specializing in European fashion history. From 1990 to 2017, she headed the Lipperheide Costume Library of the National Museums in Berlin. In 2017, she took over the direction of the collections of textiles, clothing, and jewelry at the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg. Her research focuses on clothing and accessories from the 18th to the 20th centuries, the cultural history of textiles, fashion photography, and fashion caricature.
