Achim Buch trained as an actor at the Folkwang School in Essen. He subsequently performed as a company member at the Hessian State Theatre in Wiesbaden and at theatres in Mannheim, Frankfurt and Freiburg. From 1997 to 2000, he was part of the ensemble at Hamburg’s Thalia Theater, followed by five years with the Freiburg Schauspiel. From 2005 to 2013, he was an ensemble member of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. In addition to his theatre work, Buch appeared in radio, film and television productions and worked as a dubbing actor. His guest engagements included the Vienna Festival, the Ruhrtriennale in Recklinghausen and theatres in Stuttgart, Dresden, Munich, Bochum and Düsseldorf. As an audiobook narrator, he recorded works by authors including Andreas Gruber and Anna Jansson.
