Travis - ein Antiheld, dessen Herz aus Gold ist Auf die Geschichte von Travis war ich sehr gespannt vor allem weil er in Archers Voice nicht weniger unsympathisch sein konnte. Ich konnte seine Geschichte und seine Beweggründe hier besser nachvollziehen und habe nicht selten mit ihm getrauert. Seine Sichtweise der Dinge und seine Entwicklung zu erleben/lesen war wunderschön (sein Herz aus Gold, wie schön kann ein Mensch denken 🥹) und vor allem wieder in Pelion zu sein war schön. Die Geschichte um die Familie Hale wurde super abgerundet - ein toller Abschluss obwohl ein kleiner Wink zu einem „oh-oh“ geliefert wurde. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass dieses Buch wesentlich schwächer als archers Voice ist oder meine Erwartungen zu hoch waren. Das erste Zusammentreffen mit Haven fand ich noch in Ordnung, aber wie sie sich aus dem nichts näher kamen war für mich eher schwach und die Beziehung nicht wirklich überzeugend leider. Da fand ich die beschriebene Beziehung zwischen zwei Nebencharakteren, die mehr in einem kurzen Abschnitt beschrieben wird, glaubwürdiger und irgendwie auch schöner. Die spicy Szenen waren präsent, aber haben die Geschichte nicht überschwemmt, wobei sich eine Szene für mich echt lang und unendlich angefühlt hat. Nichtsdestotrotz wohlverdiente 4 Sterne, da ich, abgesehen von der Liebesgeschichte, den Werdegang von travis und die tiefgründige Ausarbeitung der Geschichte um die Hale Familie so toll fand. Zusatz: bin jetzt auf Gage’s Geschichte gespannt, da der „perfekte“ (arme) Gage in jedem der Bücher durch die Protagonistin quasi abserviert wurde 😅
