When in Rome is a warm and comforting romance set in a charming small town. The story follows Amelia Rose, a famous pop star who escapes her overwhelming life and unexpectedly finds peace in Rome, Kentucky. Her journey of self-discovery feels relatable despite her celebrity status. The romance between Amelia and Noah, a grumpy but kind baker, is sweet and enjoyable, even if it’s predictable at times. The small-town setting and supporting characters add heart to the story, making it an easy and pleasant read. Overall, this is a cozy, closed-door romance perfect for readers who enjoy light, feel-good love stories.
I feel like this book combines all the clichés about romance novels paired with boring characters, no character development at all, let alone any chemistry between the protagonists and no plot whatsoever (at least not in the first half). I couldn't get through it, which makes it the third book in a row I didn‘t finish. Is this still a book-problem or already a me-problem??
beautiful book and a awesome start in the series
