Rezension von JoanneIt was emotional, chaotic, and messy. But above all, it was deeply honest and heartbreaking. I even shed a few tears over this book. Who would’ve thought that the book that’s been sitting on my shelf for two years would end up touching my heart so deeply?
Rezension von Monique MA beautiful coming-of-age story and what comes after. I very much enjoyed reading this love story unfold. There were quite a few twists and turns that I did not exactly see coming, which is always nice in a romance novel, as they are usually quite predictable. I did get flashbacks to The Summer I Turned Pretty, although Every Summer After felt much more mature and less love-triangle-focused than Jenny Han’s story, which I liked. Fortune’s characters and their struggles felt very multidimensional, tangible, and believable, which made it an enjoyable and fast read. I am looking forward to the Amazon production coming in June 2026 (although I don’t quite understand why they had to change the title—hopefully it stays true to the plotline…).

Rezension von Betty Lindner2,75⭐️ is me being generous because I enjoyed the basic outline of the story but the plot was so predictable. I liked the back and forth in timelines to see how they grew up and what made them best friends, how they spent their time and all that in comparison to how they'd interact now over a decade later. Like I said,the reason for their fallout was rather predictable and I did so not like it. I just shows how they were, in fact, children. Children who make dumb mistakes and don't know how to properly communicate. Also, for some reason I did not like Sam very much, not just towards the end but from the beginning. Him and Percy had great chemistry, thats not it, I just.. i don't know. Percy did her fair share of sh*t but I understood her more. Bonus points for the hot anatomy lesson.
