To be honest, I'm glad I've finally finished this book. It's not badly written, but the plot really dragged on at times. I like the characters, but I wished their planning had been more intelligent and in-depth. The same questions kept coming up, and the plot kept repeating itself. I don't mind spice, but I got really annoyed because I wanted the plot to finally move on. But no, first there had to be the fourth spicy scene! I honestly don't know if I'll continue with the series. The world-building is interesting, and there are developments, but I wish the plot wasn't so slow.

3.5 ⭐️ I liked this book a little better than the 3rd one, but I hate when couples get separated for a long time. Also the relationship between Poppy and Kieran got weird with all the touching and then the joining. I still want to read the 2nd book in the flesh & fire series, but then I will out a hold on it. The world starts to be too confusing to make sense and the books are way too long for the whole story.
