Reviewed by TimoDie Fortsetzung von „Der Report der Magd“ bietet eine fesselnde Erzählung aus drei Perspektiven: Tante Lydia, Agnes und Daisy. Obwohl sich das Buch vom ersten Band unterscheidet, ist es dennoch außergewöhnlich gut geschrieben. Es liefert reichlich Hintergrundinformationen zu Gilead, seinen Machtstrukturen und den dortigen Gräueltaten. Einige offene Fragen aus dem ersten Band werden beantwortet. Die Geschichte wird durch die Akten der Zeuginnen und vorhandene Zeugenberichte erzählt. Der Schreibstil ist klar und verständlich und zieht den Leser in die Geschichte hinein. Margaret Atwood hat mit ihrer Reihe eine erschreckende und widerwärtige Welt geschaffen, die nichts für schwache Nerven ist. Auch der zweite Teil ist ein unglaublich spannendes Buch, das den Leser glauben lässt, dass es nicht noch schlimmer werden kann. Wer den ersten Teil mochte, sollte unbedingt auch Teil Zwei lesen.
