Reviewed by IsabelI think the Storyline of Aled & Rose just didn't kick the way it should've been. I LOVED the end, but between the beginning and the end it was kind of hard to concentrate. Even though it really had a great message of following your dreams and never giving up!

But the real highlight for me is the female best friend - she's the ultimate ride-or-die, and I loved her quirky personality and vulnerability. That being said, I did feel like the book dragged a bit in the middle, especially with the female lead's past drama. It felt like it went on for a hot second (okay, maybe more like half the book). BUT, the slow burn, the tension, the romance... it was all worth it! I'd totally recommend this book to fans of romance, slow burns, and friends-to-lovers tropes. And can we talk about how much I need more books with amazing best friend characters?
